     Alyson Kohlmeier advanced to the finals of the 1500m event at the World Youth Championships.  Alyson ran a personal best 4:20.64 to finish 5th in her heat and advance to Saturday's final.

     Jillian Drouin jumped a solid 1.70m in the qualifying round of the women's high jump but was unable to advance to the final as the cut off was a very excellent 1.78m.

     Jordan Banninga threw the javelin 55.16m in his qualifying round but did not qualify for the final.  The cut off for the top 12 was 65.20m.

       Alyson Kohlmeier ran an excellent race in the final of the 1500m event to finish seventh in a time of 4:22.97

        Congratulations to Alyson, Jillian and Jordan for representing Canada at this competition.  ASW and the City of Sarnia are very proud of these fine young athletes!
