Sarnia Athletic Track and Field Club

University of Detroit-Mercy got a strong finish from Sarnia native, Kim Hemstreet at the 23^rd annual National Catholic Invitationals in Notre Dame, IN.

Senior Kim Hemstreet, a member of the local Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track Club, won the event with a time of 18:00, six seconds faster then her closest competitor. Hemstreet has now finished among the top three in the previous three meets for the Titans.

(Windsor, ON) - The University of Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that rookie cross country runner Heather Hemstreet is the Casey's Bar and Grill Lancer Female Athlete of the Week.

Rookie cross country runner Heather Hemstreet set a personal best time last Friday at the Michigan State University Spartans-Nike Invitational at the Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan. The Sarnia, Ontario native finished the 5 k.m. race in a time of 20:04, placing in the top 5 amongst all rookies in the meet. Heather is a first year Human Kinetics student who has previously competed for Sarnia St. Patrick Secondary School.
