Katie Wallace Wins Two Gold at the Canadian Paralympic Track and Field Championships!

Qualifies for World Paralympic Track & Field Champs!

Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track & Field’s Katie Wallace had a great meet at the recent Canadian Paralympic Track and Field Championships held in London. Wallace walked away with two first place finishes in the Shot Put and the Discus throw under the F-35 Paralympic category. Her winning marks of 6.06m in the Shot Put and 14.73m in the Discus were just short of her all time personal bests of 6.64m and 15.39m in each event. These Championships were also a qualifier for the IPC World Championships in Assen, Netherlands coming up on September 2-10 and Wallace successfully secured her place on the National team for the event with this performances. She will be looking to bring home a medal for Canada in the World Championships in September.
