High School 2006

November 4, 2006 (Thunder Bay, Ontario)

Lambton Central's midget girls' team led the way for Lambton County athletes at the 2006 OFSAA Cross Country Meet with a bronze medal performance.   Northern's senior boys' team also had an good meet with a fourth place finish.

In the Midget Girls Division, the Lancers finished 3rd out of 35 teams with Jennifer Gray (39), Jill Stephens( 49), Kelsey Dobbin (80)  and Mackenzie Heinley (108) scoring.  Brittany Core (124) was a non-scorer.  Northern finished 15th in this division with Sarah Harding (78), Meghie Smids (99), Justine Davies (118), and Jayde Sibbald (168) scoring for the Vikings.  Meghan Hislop (180) was a non-scorer.  220 competitors race in this division.

In the Midget Boys Division,  St. Clair's Denver Spearman had Lambton's top individual finish with 11th out of 226 runners.

In the Junior Girls Division, Erin M'Larkey from Northern was 31st and Courtney Lundy from St. Clair was 82nd.  227 competed in this division.

In the Junior Boys Division, Northern was 12th of the 35 teams competing.  Scoring for the Vikings were Patrick Galler (79), Jared Dally (93), Tim Burwell (104) and Colin Margetts (113).  Joel Vosburg (124) was a non-scorer.  Shaun Bisson of St. Clair finished 29th out of 220 runners.

In the Senior Girls Division, St. Patrick's finished 14 out of 36 teams.  Scoring for the Irish were Keegan Castrillo (69), Heather DiFruscia (85), Kristyn VandenEnden (153) and Kathryn Smith (165).  Katelyn Sulkye (216) was a non-scorer.  Val Chrisitie from Lambton Central had a strong race finishing 13th out 230 in the senior girls race.

In the Senior Boys Division, Northern was 4th out of 36 teams.  Scoring for the Vikings were Andrew Douglas (47), Paul Cochrane (63), Tim Sneider (66) and Cory McCurry (71).  Jesse Schaefer (131) was a non-scorer.  Jordan Cote from St. Christopher finished 126 in the field of 234.
