High School 2005

While there were no team or individual medals, Lambton athletes generally performed well at the 2005 OFSAA cross country championships.

In the Senior Girls Division, Northern's team placed 10th.  Scoring for the Vikings were Marie-Louise Asselin (11th), Kara Wark (55th), Devin Huggett (112th) and Lindsay Postil (132nd).  Mackenzie Walker (176th) was a non-scorer on this team.  St. Christopher placed 23rd in this division with Laura Gill (52nd), Carly Gill (62nd), Amanda Ayres (203rd) and Kandice VanAert (224th) scoring for the Cyclones.

St. Clair's Courtney Workman finished 38th and St. Pat's Keegan Castrillo finished 40th as individuals in the Senior Girls race.  241 individuals and 38 teams competed in this division.

In the Senior Boys Division, a young Northern team finished 11th.  Scoring for the Vikings were Cory McCurry (71st),  Andrew Douglas (78th),  Paul Cochrane (93rd) and Larry Abbott (126th). Tim Sneider (130th) was a non-scorer for Northern.

David Moore of St. Christopher ran his best race of the year to finish 12th as an individual.  There were 239 individuals and 38 teams in this division.

In the Junior Girls Division, Val Christie of Lambton Central ran an excellent race to finish 4th and lead her Lancer team mates to a 16th place finish.  Other Lancer scorers were Virgie VanDencorput (103rd), Janelle Christopher (146th) and Steph Milner (215th).

Haley Cadwallader of SCITS finished 65th as an individual competitor.  There were 236 individuals and 38 teams competing in this division.

In the Junior Boys Division, Jack Evers of St. Christopher finished 55th of 236 competitors.

In the Midget Girls Division, St. Clair finished 17th.  Scoring for the Colts were Courtney Lundy (17th), Jamie Holmes (105th), Robyn Brazeau (113th) and Jessica Solomon (163rd).  Cassie Brown (172nd) was a non-score for this team.

Northern's Erin M'Larkey (24th) and St. Christopher's Rachel Korosec (28th) ran well as individual in this division.  There were 227 individuals and 37 teams competing.

In the Midget Boys Division, the St. Christopher team finished 6th for the best finish by a Lambton team.  Scoring for the Cyclones were Aaron Yurkewich (38th), Matt Morden (72nd), Alex Latosinksy (93rd) and Andrew Thompson (124th).

St. Clair's Shawn Bisson ran well in this division to finish 18th.  There were 235 individuals and 37 teams competing in this division.
