2006 Results

Burnaby BC - On August 12^th and 13^th the two young athletes representing the Sarnia Athletics Southwest Club finished off their season well at the Legion National Track and Field Championships. Maggie Mullen and Jackson Gray travelled west to Burnaby, British Columbia where they participated in a week long camp with other athletes under the age of 17 from across the nation. Their visit concluded with the National meet held at Simon Fraser University. Both Mullen and Gray took part in two events while competing on the Ontario Provincial team. Mullen took 3^rd place in the Women’s under 17 javelin with a throw of 41.19m. She also added a 7^th place finish in the Women’s under 17 shot put where she had a 10.83m mark. In the Men’s under 15 shot put, Gray came away with second recording a put of 16.18m. He also came 4^th in the Men’s under 15 discus with a distance of 48.94m.
