…
I ran 10km in under 40 minutes! (longest run of my life)
8. Why did you start
participating in Track and Field:
I believe it’s because of
watching Mark Halls run cross country way back when we were at
Queen E that got me interested in running; he made it looks easy.
9. What does
participating in Track and Field mean to you:
It means putting myself through
all the training and strength work outs necessary to compete with
the best of my age.
10. To what do you
attribute your improvements in the sport:
All the training I have received
over the years from all coaches and trainers! Self inspiration of
knowing you want to improve, and of course the support of
everyone.
11. What is the
highlight of your athletic career:
It’s not pulling my hamstring
twice in grade 10 and running the rest of the season like that,
it’s not becoming ill with mono in grade 11… it’s wanting to keep
on pushing to be the best I can be in spite of all that!
12. Future Goals:
To always run. One day to pursue
a career in Kinesiology.
13. Plans after you
finish running: When
the day comes that I am done finishing running, I will still
maintain a good fitness level
14. Inspirational
quote:
"It hurts up to a point and then
it doesn’t get any worse."
“Dream like you will live
forever. Live like you will die tomorrow.”
