7. Major Achievements: In my grade nine year
I was able to win a silver medal in the 800 metre at
Ofsaa and I also received a silver medal in the 800
metre at the National Royal Canadian Legion meet in
Calgary. I also just recently competed at the Junior
National meet in Kitchener and although I did not have
my best performance just competing there I believe was
an accomplishment.
8. Why did you start participating in Track and
Field: I began participating in Track and
Field when I was in grade 6 I believe because I
enjoyed running and had discovered I could have a lot
of fun doing it.
9. What does participating in Track and Field mean
to you: Participating in Track and Field means
that I am able to compete individually doing something
that I love. It also means having a lot of fun and
being able to meet many new people while still being
able to be competitive.
10. To what do you attribute your improvements in
the sport: I attribute my improvements to my
coaching and the experience I have gained throughout
the years as a runner.
11. What is the highlight of your athletic career:
The highlight of my athletic career was travelling to
Calgary and competing at the national level at the
National Royal Canadian Junior meet, and accomplishing
a silver medal at this competition.
12. Future Goals: My short term goal is to
lower my times in all my races especially focusing on
the 800. My long term goal is to attain a University
scholarship in Track and Field.
13. Plans after you finish running: I do not
really have any plans to finish running any time in
the near future so I have not really considered what I
will do when I do stop running.
