Hemstreet Wins 2 Races At Horizon League Championship
Senior Kim Hemstreet (Mooretown, ON/St. Patrick's HS/Sarnia
ASW TFC) made her mark again in her final season at the University
of Detroit-Mercy, winning two events and setting league records in
the process. The Sarnia native was one of four individual champions
at the championship meet. Hemstreet won the 3000m in a new league
record time of 9:50.44 and then broke another Horizon mark by
winning the 5000m with a record time of 17:20.55.
