Women's Track Improves Qualifying Marks
Ames, Iowa - The Wisconsin women’s track
and field team improved upon its NCAA qualifying marks in three events at the
Cyclone National Qualifier on Saturday.
The Badgers’ distance medley relay team of Hilary
Edmondson, Andrea Geurtsen, Tara Halls, and Bethany Brewster ran an
automatic qualifying mark of 11:15.52. Their time set the building record at the
Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State University campus and was the
third-fastest mark ever run by a UW relay. The time ranks the UW eighth in the
nation according to the NCAA list of qualifiers.
