OFSAA Gold medalist - 800m & 1500m in Grade 9

OFSAA Silver medalist - 800m & Bronze 1500m in Grade 10

2nd at Canadian National X-country Championships 2001

Qualified for 2001 World Youth Track & Field in Hungary - 1500m

Qualified for 2002 World X-country Championships in Ireland - 6km

8. Why did you start participating in Track and Field:   I loved the sport, the atmosphere, the competition, the people, the energy, training, and trips, striving for and beating pbs

9. What does participating in Track and Field mean to you:  It means setting goals, lots of discipline, hard work, and training, the desire to attain your goals and the love of the sport.

10. To what do you attribute your improvements in the sport:  Both of my parents for their encouragement, support, time, and dedication to me and my Dad who has helped to coach and train me since I started out. Also Mark MacDonald, Mark Scott, Angie Smith and Scott Burns for their excellent coaching and overwhelming encouragement and support. I also thank God for the ability and opportunities he has given me.

11. What is the highlight of your athletic career:  The highlight of my career was going to both Worlds in Hungary and in Ireland, being a double gold medalist at OFSAA, and participating in National events - New Brunswick, Calgary, and Quebec as well as various track and x-country meets.

12. Future Goals:  To get fit and back into training in the fall, to improve upon my pbs, continue in running and hopefully attend a University in the States.

13. Plans after you finish running:  I probably will always run and maybe when I'm older I'll train for a marathon. After high school, I plan to go to University and possibly study Sports Medicine.

Inspirational quote:  Don't ever give up...the harder you train in practice, the better you'll do on the track. You're never a failure when you don't win, its only if you don't try... Give it your best shot!
