2005 Club News

The following are some results for some our Sarnia Athletics Southwest senior athletes, alumni and athlete locals.

Sarah Nelson (University of Minnesota) won the long jump at Minnesota with a 5.66m long jump.

Alyson Kohlmeier ran on Michigan's 4 x 400m D squad.

Jillian Drouin (Syracuse University) scored 3034 in a pentathlon at Cornell.

Tara Halls (University of Wisconsin) was second in 600m at 1:34.64 at Wisconsin. She also ran the lead leg of their 4 x 400m - 3:52.12.

Chris d'Esterre (University of Western Ontario) won the 1500m at Western's Don Wright meet in 4:01.67 (pb?). Results of that meet are on the London Runner site. Quite a few locals competed there.

Amy Kohlmeier (Notre Dame University) won the 3k at Notre Dame in 10:08.37. First race indoors in over 3 years, first race since breaking her leg in multiple places last Christmas break. Welcome back to the world of competition Amy!

In addition, in the New Balance Meet’s Elite Women's Mile Run Hilary Edmondson ran 4:31.91, which is the 4th fastest time ever by a Canadian women indoors. Impressive company for someone that didn’t make St. Pat’s cross-country as a midget girl
