Aly Kohlmeier of the University of Michigan ran a huge personal best (@24 seconds) over 3000m in Kentucky over the weekend to provisionally qualify for the indoor NCAAs!

The Wolverines also dominated the 3,000-meter run, setting two NCAA provisional times and placing five athletes in the top 11, led by Walter, who paced the pack with a personal-best time of 9:23.15, and Kohlmeier, who took second just 0.42 seconds behind Walter with a time of 9:23.57, also a provisional qualifying performance. Both athletes were just over six seconds shy of the NCAA automatic qualifying standard of 9:16.
