7. Major Achievements: Going to OFSAA cross country every year since grade nine
and getting a team silver medal in 2001

8. Why did you start participating in Track and Field: Running was something I
always enjoyed in elementary school and wished to improve throughout high
school, as well as meeting new and interesting people and going places I would
not have gone otherwise.

9. What does participating in Track and Field mean to you: Track and Field is
all about having that one good race that you have been training so many months
for, knowing that there is a reason you are doing this and that all your hard
work and dedication will pay off in the end.

10. To what do you attribute your improvements in the sport: Over most of my
high school career I believed that I had already achieved my best in grade nine,
however over this past summer I have realized that I have so much more to give
to my sport. I attribute this to the coaching I received not only from Mark but
my older sister Kim who taught me that running is not only about the workouts or
the races but how you prepare for them, you must be fit and healthy to achieve
your goals and above all it is all mental....how well you run is all in your
head. She gave up so much of her time to make me a better runner, a runner she
knew I could be.

11. What is the highlight of your athletic career: I have yet to reach a
highlight as my career is just starting...but so far making it to OFSAA
x-country and OFSAA regional in track was very exciting.

12. Future Goals: Run in university....improve! improve! improve! then run a
marathon

13. Plans after you finish running: I plan to continue running well into
adulthood and become a physiotherapist so I may help the aches and pains of all
athletes.

14. Inspirational quote: Running is 50% physical and 50% mental
