SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC-- Three members of the Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track Club will compete this weekend for Ontario at the Canadian Legion Track and Field Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec.  Sarah Nelson will compete in the 17 and under category in the long jump and triple jump as well as serving on the 4x 100m and 4 x 400m relays for Team Ontario.  Nelson recently won the Canadian Junior (19 and under) Championships in the long jump and is also the OFSAA Junior, OTFA Juvenile and Ontario Legion champion in the event.  Mark Halls will compete in the 17 and under age group in the 800 metres and 1500 metres in addition to the 4x400m relay.  Halls won the 800 metres at the Ontario Legions and OTFA Juveniles and was a semi-finalist in the event at the Canadian Junior Championships.  The third local that will compete at the annual national event, is Maggie Lynch, who will compete in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles as well as the 4 x 400m relay.  Lynch was a national junior qualifier in the 400m hurdles in her first year of summer track.
