2005 Results

ST. CATHARINES -  Brad Huey and Maggie Mullen of the Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track & Field Club have been named to the Ontario Team which compete at the Canadian Dominion Championships in Edmonton in August.  At the Ontario Legion meet in St. Catharines this past weekend, Huey jumped 2.05m, a personal best height, to win the 17 years and under boy’s high jump. Mullen came away with a gold medal throw of 40.45, a personal best, to win the girl’s 17 years and under javelin throw.  David Moore was also victorious in the 17 and under 1500m in a time of 4:04.18, in addition to placing 5th in the 800m.  Moore is presently an alternate for Team Ontario for the national meet in Edmonton.  Kim VanKempen also had a great meet in the 17 and under girl’s category placing 3rd in the 100m and 6th in the 200m.  Matt Reddy (15 and under 400m- 5th) and Justin Keating (17 and under 100m- 7th/200m- 7th) also turned in strong performances.
